The Department was organized in 2015 and was one of the first similar departments in the structure of phthisiopulmonary care.
Today, X-ray endovascular interventions represent an alternative to almost any open surgery for heart and vascular pathology.
A distinctive feature of X-ray surgical procedures is their low invasiveness. They are performed under local anesthesia through a vessel puncture under X-ray guidance in a dedicated X-ray operating room. Traditionally, endovascular procedures are performed through a radial arterial approach.
Main areas of treatment:
Diagnostic tests:
Coronary angiography (to detect stenotic-occlusive changes in the heart vessels in ischemic heart disease, angina, acute myocardial infarction, etc.)
Angiopulmonography with the bronchial arteries angiography (to detect pulmonary hemorrhages, malformations)
Cardiac ventriculography (contrast enhancement of the left ventricle to assess left ventricular contractility in patients with heart defects, ischemic heart disease, cardiomyopathy, as well as in preparation for open-heart surgery, etc.)
Aortography (to detect aortic abnormalities, including aneurysms or coarctation of the aorta, differential diagnosis of mediastinal tumors, etc.)
Surgical interventions:
Balloon angioplasty and stenting of coronary arteries and peripheral arteries
Aortic arthroplasty, including hybrid procedures
Various vascular regions malformations embolization
Embolization of bronchial arteries for pulmonary hemorrhage
